GROWTH:
Perennial salvias can grow tall and wide, with the average reaching about 36 inches in height and width.

CARE:
Salvias grow best in a location with full sun and well-draining soil. Adding mulch around the base of the plant will help the roots stay cool and moist. Once established, salvias are pretty drought tolerant and only require little watering but be sure to water thoroughly upon planting. Fertilize lightly when planting.

How to plant & care for Perennials

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has devised a system to provide gardeners with a basic guide to plant hardiness – how much winter cold a plant can withstand. The Hardiness Zone Map system divides the United States and Canada into numbered zones based on lowest average winter temperature. Even within a zone, different micro-climates exist, such as large urban areas which may be warmer or land situated at different elevations.
